A little rain must fall...

A brief interlude between rainfalls.

The Willow Restaurant

The smell from the Willow Restaurant isn't very nice, but it was popular during the Canada Games.

Nightclub row

Regina's Warehouse District is home to most of Regina's nightclubs.
In the foreground, SoHo, the most recently revamped.

South Railway Street

There is always a train parked along South Railway Street east of Broad Street. I took this while driving by; it's a bit blurry, but I'm impressed that I actually roughly got the shot I wanted, this car centered.

Downtown Regina up close, part two, on foot

This used to be the Hudson's Bay retail store, but now it's Harvard Broadcasting's home base. Some day I'll have to tell you about Regina radio, how it is, and why the other local broadcaster we had sued me for making fun of them with a satirical web site.

In the background, the Farm Credit Corporation headquarters.
Foreground, The Comic Shop. Ooooh.

Downtown Regina up close, part one, from the car

No, that's not an illusion. The roads are actually this "wavy" because of all the buses that use this 3 block area.

Accident at noon

I never did see what happened, or what vehicles were involved.

Mosaic is coming!

Not a very representative picture, but Mosaic is Regina's major multicultural event, where community groups host pavilions showcasing their ethnic backgrounds.

Mmmm.... always tasty food!

Community garden under new management

This used to be a beautiful community garden where downtown Regina's less fortunate (a.k.a. the starving) could plant some food for themselves. It was purchased by a developer that refused to let them continue to do so while it is up for sale.

What a wonderful use of land, how beautiful it looks now. Nice to see businesses that are socially conscious. Ok, I'm being sarcastic. :-)

Watered the lawn a little too long, then it rained.

On strike at Sobey's, day 241

This has gone on a long time. BTW, the guy in the black Slayer T-shirt is one of the strikers.

Saskatchewan Centre of the Arts

The Conexus Grain Elevator and Event-o-Dome
(not sure if that's the official name),
formerly known as the Saskatchewan Centre of the Arts.
I suspect the similarity to a grain elevator was indeed intentional. :-)
Hmmm... Conexus seems to be renaming everything in town.

Lunch at Wasabi

See, Regina has delicious sushi *and* pretty girls.
"Wasabi", located downtown.

Conexus Tower

This used to be the Canada Trust tower. This used to be my bank.
